10 people, including doctors and students, who were involved in drug trade, were arrested
Police have discovered a drug network in Mangalore and arrested 10 people who were involved in drug peddling. He has busted the network of a ganja gang running in a prestigious college.
The police arrested a total of 10 people including 4 medical students, 2 doctors and 2 students after investigating the ganja trade. 2 kg ganja, fake pistol and dragger were seized from the arrested.
Students Dr. Nadiya Siraj (24), Dr. Varshini Prati (26), Dr. Riya Chadda (22), Dr. Heera Basin (23) have been arrested. Doctor Dr. Sameer (32), Manimaran Muthu (28), local Muhammad Raoup alias Gaus (34), students Dr. Bhanu Dahiya (27) and Dr. Kshitij Gupta (23) have been arrested.
The arrested doctors and medical students hail from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Punjab. Lived in hostels and PGs in Mangalore.
Neel Kishorilal Ram Ji Shah lived in this apartment in Mendis Plaza near Bunts Hostel Circle in Mangalore. The police got information that he was selling ganja to male and female students in his plot. Later, CCB police raided his plot and recovered 2 kg of ganja, a fake pistol and a dagger.
Based on the information given by him, medical students and doctors were taken into custody.
